Topographical surveying is the survey to determine the nature of topography of the area. It’s a Survey on which the results shows the existing situation of the area before implementing anything new. The resulted Topographical map shows all existing features both man made and artificial ones. It is accompanied by production of Contours which shows the Nature of Terrain of the existing Surface/area.
Topographical Survey involves precisely correction of horizontal and vertical information of features and points around the entire area. Topographical Survey can be conducted by normal ordinary methods (For small areas) like using Total stations and for medium area GNSS equipment is used for precise and time effective of the results. But for the largest areas, a most precise, quick and advanced technology method like using Drones or LiDAR is mostly preferred.
